Burial at Sea Ash Scattering

Inshore Trips typically target striped bass but can also target bluefish, mackerel, black sea bass, and flounder.

Offshore trips target haddock, cod, bluefin tuna, sharks, pollock, cusk, hake, halibut, whiting, red fish, etc. It can generally takes 45 minutes to an hour to drive out to the fishing grounds.  There is a high dependency on having favorable weather conditions, however, when the conditions are right a lot of fish can be caught and brought on board.

How much of a gratuity/tip is required?

We realize that the cost of a private charter is not inexpensive, however, the overhead costs of running a private charter business are also quite expensive. We require a 20% gratuity to be paid prior to boarding the boat for your charter. A lot of hard work goes into preparing for each and every individual charter both before a charter starts and after a charter is finished. The tip on a private charter must not be based upon the fish you catch. There are times when there are very few, if not any, fish that are caught. Although this is generally not the case, the same work effort, if not more, goes into trying to find fish. We not only pride ourselves on our expertise in fishing techniques but we are also genuinely concerned when the fishing is slow. We are our toughest critics. Please appreciate us and let us know if you don't feel we are putting in our best effort. We genuinely care and appreciate our entire customer base.
